About Us

Meagan - Behavioural Consultant

With 15 years’ experience working with children, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

As a behavioural consultant, I specialise in:

  • Positive behaviour support
  • Emotional regulation
  • Skill building
  • Independent living skills
  • Parent training
  • Improving relationships
  • Encouraging engagement and connection
  • Improving health and wellbeing

I work with children, teens and families to assist and develop ways to achieve goals and experience life to the fullest.

I believe that each person is unique, which is why I tailor programmes to suit the individual and their family.

By taking a holistic approach to my therapy, I am able to build a rapport with families and carers, and help set realistic goals and expectations. I’m a firm believer in client-centred practice and will happily work with children, families and other support services as partners in assessing needs and finding solutions to achieve the best outcome for my client.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Disability and a Diploma in Community Services Management, and have extensive knowledge and a wide range of skills and strategies to draw on when working with individuals.

As a mother myself, I understand the daily pressures that come with supporting children – which is only increased when a child has additional needs. I understand that you’re spinning many plates and that your time is extremely precious, which is why I work flexibly and I’m here for you, at times that are convenient for you.

Veronica - Psychologist

As a psychologist, I work with children, adolescents and young adults who are impacted by disabilities. With 9 years’ experience in a variety of roles with in the disability field, I understand that children and youth do not exist in isolation and take a family centred approach and aim to include families and networks in the work I do. I am experienced in:

  • Positive Behaviour Support
  • Functional Behavioural Assessments
  • Parenting training
  • Social Skill Development
  • Improving Relationships
  • Emotional Regulation Development
  • Anxiety and Depression Treatment

I am experienced in assessments and interventions of neurodevelopmental conditions (such as autism spectrum disorders) and aim to provide assessments and reports that are helpful and insightful for those I am working with (including the individual I am assessing). I do this by keeping jargon to a minimum and providing strategies that are tailored to the individual I’m working with.

I have always been concerned about the rash, often unfair and misguided judgments that are made about children (and sometimes parents too) who for the most part are trying their best and want to do the right thing but don’t know how to go about it.

I am passionate about helping children, adolescents and youth to make sense of their world and helping their world make sense of them. I continually to strive to assist children, adolescents and youth to reach their full potential and to foster understanding and supportive networks around those who need our support the most.
